"Early in 2002, I was given a copy of the TV show "Crossing Over" with John Edward. I was interested, but skeptical. I laid in bed that night, just wondering if it was 'real' and if anyone could do it. Before long, I had a word enter my head, out of the blue, that meant nothing to me. I heard the word 'soft' in my head, and I 'felt' like I was supposed to ask my wife about it, so despite feeling rather stupid, I asked her if there's any possibility someone she knew had anything to do with the word 'soft'.
That was the start of an amazing journey, which I tell at length in my book "Soul Matters", but I started getting information from many people over the coming months.One of the issues I had right at the start was how to know I wasn't just imagining it all - how to know the difference between my own thoughts, and those of someone else?
I developed a trick, or technique, to tell the difference, which I will share with you, but first, I want you to understand more about what to expect.
Since 2005, I felt compelled to share my humble discovery with others to help them. A bit like in the movie "Field of Dreams" ('If you build it, they will come...") . Some imagine the smell of a perfume their Mum used to wear, or the smell of cigarettes their Dad used to smoke. For others, odd things happen in the house, for no logical reason. Others imagine the touch of someone important in their lives, particularly at night as they're drifting off to sleep. Others can clearly hear the voice of a friend or relative who has died, just as if they were standing beside them. For others, they hold a picture, or something belonging to the one they miss, and they can 'feel' them coming through from 'the other side'.
But for most of us, we dismiss these things as coincidences. They feel silly. It can't be! I find almost everyone has a story. Some unexplained thing that has happened to them. And to the skeptic on life after death, I ask this: Why do even the skeptics, when faced with the loss of a loved one, say goodbye to them at the grave, if they don't believe they are 'somewhere'?
Let me share from the heart: You don't need a psychic to prove loved ones who have passed away are still around. You just have to trust it's real, and verify it.
