Ten years ago, Phil G(Graham) was no different to any normal guy. He was mildly interest in the paranormal, but thought psychic contact was silly.
In 2002, his wife wanted to watch a psychic TV show, and he reluctantly sat to watch with her. Curious, but doubting, he went to bed that night, and wondered: Could it be possible?
After a few minutes, he "felt" the presence of someone he didn't know, who seemed to be from far away, a place he had never been. Feeling silly, he turned to his wife, and explained what happened. She didn't think he was crazy, but wasn't overly interested. Then he heard the word "soft". Not knowing what this meant, he mentioned the word.
Stunned, she explained that one of her Mother's sisters, who had passed away years earlier, was called "softy" by everyone, because she was so cuddly. Especially meaningful, unknown to Phil, was that she only saw her once, on a trip to England, not long before she passed away.
Over the following weeks, importantly, Phil was contacted numerous times by his mother, and during this time, developed a simple way of knowing if he was imagining it, or it was real. It's an idea he's shared with many many thousands around the world since.
For a time, Phil did "readings" (and has done many thousands via his website), but he believed then, and now, that his real purpose is not to bring one soul through at a time, but to share how ordinary people can find joy, comfort and closure by being able to contact loved ones who have passed away, themselves, without the help of a psychic. And verify it's real.
During a round of seminars conducted in 2007, Phil developed a way of sharing his idea during the seminar, by encouraging everyone to relax, listen to soft music, as he talked them through the steps of asking for the person they want, talking with them, and then verifying the experience was real.
After one seminar, he was asked if there was a CD of that section available. So a few months later, Phil went into a studio to record "Contacting the Afterlife (a spoken beginners guide)" which is available here on CD, or on iTunes as a download.
He also produced two books, the first ("Soul Matters") explaining the story of discovery, and all the situations that arose as a result. It has been an enormous source of comfort to many. And has helped those who suspect they have some psychic ability, to understand it better. Phil has a pleasant, easy-read style to his books.
